Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). Dealers additionally provide business name, EIN, phone number, city, and state.

When you post a listing, we store the listing content (title, description, photos, price, specifications) and associate it with your account. Photos are stored in our cloud storage provider (Supabase).

How we use your information

• To operate the KosEquip marketplace — displaying listings, facilitating contact between buyers and sellers.
• To verify dealer identity and process dealer applications.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets).
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Information visible to others

When you post a listing as a dealer, your company name, city, state, and contact information are visible to all visitors. When you post as a private seller, only the information you include in your listing is visible.

Data retention

Account data is retained until you request deletion. Listing data is retained for the duration your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@kosequip.com.

Third-party services

KosEquip uses Supabase for database and authentication services. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy. We use Vercel for hosting. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
